ACTIVITIES FOR APRIL

Theme: Malaria & Climate Change

“We need to educate today’s youth to be proactive and prepared citizens empowered to adapt and respond to rapidly changing environments. An education, which will prompt young citizens to question and modify existing conditions and structures moving toward enhanced development objectives and disaster risk reduction and preparedness activities, is the solution.”-David Suzuki Foundation

Take Action

Mosquito-borne malaria is the biggest single killer of children in Africa, where a child dies from malaria every 30 seconds. A simple mosquito net can decrease infection rates by 50%. The simple provision of mosquito nets, together with UNICEF awareness campaigns, we can save lives! On Malaria Day, April 25 host a fundraiser to purchase Insecticide Treated Mosquito Nets for just $18.18 through UNICEF Inspired Gifts. Your purchase will provide three nets treated with long-lasting insect repellent to protect children from mosquitoes and other biting insects.
