UNICEF Tap Project

Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Join our team to help UNICEF bring clean safe water to millions of children around the world.

Jamilah, an 11-year-old girl from Somalia, is one of the millions of children who have benefited from UNICEF's water and sanitation programs.  Fetching water used to be an arduous task for her, taking two hours every day to walk back and forth from the wells. This left little time for her to study.

Now she simply goes to the new water kiosk.

To quote Jamilah: "I don't mind fetching water every day because I can help my mother. Now I come to the kiosk three times a day after school, and still, I have time to study what I learned in school."
